Current Findings of Educational Research

This workshop covers the results of an investigation by a world-renowned academic of what things a teacher and school can do that adds the most to academic outcomes for all students.  It is generally considered to be the most comprehensive review of educational research ever undertaken.  Many of these findings are surprising and differ from common educational practice.

In addition, all schools now know that inclusion of students with a disability is a choice allowed by law and is here to stay.  What is not so widely known is the research findings on the relative impact of inclusive or segregated alternatives and why one might be chosen over the other.  Teachers are looking for the most effective methods of including students in the mainstream based on research as well as practical examples of how common difficulties can be overcome.

This workshop covers this material that is not easily accessible by teachers.
